I was recently pointed out to a video online called the Science of Productivity, it’s all about time management and will power. Basically – our ability to get things done. I thought it would be especially relevant of me to write about this as I have been away from the blog for an extended period shall we say, well longer than usual.
A huge problem for business owners is the fact that they do not know the difference between self-promotion for personal branding purposes and bragging. It is totally acceptable to promote yourself and what you did but when you brag, people automatically dislike it. As a result you will end up with a really bad personal brand that is filled with uncertainty. You will have problems with advancing in your career as you will be seen as someone that is unreliable.
Building a brand takes more than just advertising online. Brand promotion needs to be done in multiple formats and on multiple platforms. Even the big names such as eBay are advertised on TV, and even appear in popular movies. It cannot be denied however, that the Internet is now a far more powerful brand-building tool than it used to be. So here are a few tips on how to improve your brands online presence.
Do you know the importance of time management? Well, a lot of people I know – myself included go hammer and tongs into various projects and end up all over the place because of a distinct lack of time management and organisational discipline.
What this does is two things.
Number one: You end up starting a project but because it’s not planned and no S.M.A.R.T goals have been set usually after a week or two the project starts to diminish and things start to slip. This will usually end up in the “Must re-visit later” file. Sound familiar?
What does value the customer mean? In any business, customer value should be right up there at the top of your list. It is so important that we spend time to value the customer. This value should be applied no matter what your business model. Whether you are selling cars, smart phones or information products on the Internet the importance of customer value is paramount.

“The difference between what a customer gets from a product, and what he or she has to give in order to get it.”

You simply become the middle person between two other parties. These other parties are looking for each other. One needs some work doing while the other can do the work and is looking for clients. Or you offer a simple service which allows two sets of people to meet for fun like forums or webcam sites.
