Why You Should Make a Squeeze Page With Paper Template

paper templateWhen I make a squeeze page nowadays I have a new tool I use. It is not often that I write about a plugin but when I found this one I thought I should share it with you. It’s called Paper Template – and quite frankly, it’s great.

No doubt you would of heard of Optimize Press? We have discussed it here on the blog. Part and parcel of any Internet Marketing campaign these days will require you to make a squeeze page or sales page. Not just in the IM niche, but any niche now bloggers are using these sort of pages to help promote their business and gain subscribers.

What Is The Alternative To Make a Squeeze Page?

Optimize Press has been the WordPress tool of choice for many including me, I paid the full $97 for this product many months ago. I use it and its great, you can make a squeeze page which looks great but it is a theme so you have to put up with it as your main theme for your site and to be honest if you are running a blog, the blog settings within OP are not that great. I am sure there is a way around it but not everyone has the time or the technical knowledge to do so. Simplicity is the key these days.

Now though – we have the option of Paper Template, which is a plugin for WordPress so this can be used within your existing blog. This is simply great because unlike OP you can keep all your original widgets and overall blog design and make great looking squeeze and sales pages to boot! All this for $17 – which is truly great value!

Once more it could not be simpler – let me take you through it. Basically it allows you to change a page you write normally in your blog and make a squeeze page or sales page out of it with just a few clicks.

When you start a new page in your WordPress dashboard and you will have the following options.

make a squeeze page

The current version comes with over 50 pre-written headlines and over 70 bullet texts all of which are fully editable. Also, you can see the many components available. It really is very simple to use, and the end result is great.

Here is a Paper Template version of my own squeeze page that I use on the blog.

My Paper Template Test

The results have been great. In just over a couple of weeks I have been getting a good number of sign ups daily and the submissions to unique display conversion rate has been at 47.3%

Once you have written your page (Remember there are loads of pre-written headlines etc for you) you can then decide how you want it to look – design wise.

The next group of features are shown below.

There are four template designs to choose from, they are all great. Personally I like the Paper Template although I will be split-testing the others soon.

Once you have chosen your design you can simply drop in your Call to Action code. You can enter here your Opt-In code, your PayPal/JVZoo button code – whatever….

Save and your page is ready to go. It’s really that simple.

And all this for $17 to use on unlimited sites – which is amazing value when you compare it to Optimize Press. Let’s just make one thing clear, this is not a slagging post for OP as I am a keen user of it but for any new marketers/bloggers starting out looking to build a very easy squeeze page or sales page in a matter of a few clicks you could do a lot worse than take a look at Paper Template.

    • Hi Kapil,

Its great, I have only tried it on this theme and obviously it works fine. Its a new plugin and because it is separate from the actual theme I guess it works on all.

      Glad you liked the post!

  1. Excellent post and come at the right time, I have been thinking about looking for a plugin exactly like this one. Even wondered what the cost would be to have one developed. I am currently using a squeeze page template that I have to add to the Theme content folders in cpanel, it has to be done for every Theme which makes swapping themes a bit of a nightmare.

Definitely looking into this one, thanks for this.

  2. Hi John, product looks great…. Question; am I able to put the opt in box anywhere that I like? And would it work with another squeeze page plug in on the site as well… I told ya bubba,
    your goin!!!!!

    • Hi Donald,

Thanks for coming over to the blog! Always welcome…

I think the settings with the OPT-IN pages allow you to put the opt in at the bottom, but then I am sure you could change this if you wanted to via the source? Just have a play around I guess. As for working with other squeezepage plugins, that is a lottery. I am using lead pages and paper template at the same time and they do not clash.

However, I cannot talk about any others. You will have to test, just make sure you save and backup anything before you go testing with multiple plugins…..

I had a horrible clash the other day, which lost me a lot of time…..!

    • Hey Joe,

Unfortunately the default sales/squeeze pages to don’t appear to, but for the price and simplicity I do not think it matters too much.

I expect if you know a bit about code etc you can change this.
