When I make a squeeze page nowadays I have a new tool I use. It is not often that I write about a plugin but when I found this one I thought I should share it with you. It’s called Paper Template – and quite frankly, it’s great.
No doubt you would of heard of Optimize Press? We have discussed it here on the blog. Part and parcel of any Internet Marketing campaign these days will require you to make a squeeze page or sales page. Not just in the IM niche, but any niche now bloggers are using these sort of pages to help promote their business and gain subscribers.
What Is The Alternative To Make a Squeeze Page?
Optimize Press has been the WordPress tool of choice for many including me, I paid the full $97 for this product many months ago. I use it and its great, you can make a squeeze page which looks great but it is a theme so you have to put up with it as your main theme for your site and to be honest if you are running a blog, the blog settings within OP are not that great. I am sure there is a way around it but not everyone has the time or the technical knowledge to do so. Simplicity is the key these days.
Now though – we have the option of Paper Template, which is a plugin for WordPress so this can be used within your existing blog. This is simply great because unlike OP you can keep all your original widgets and overall blog design and make great looking squeeze and sales pages to boot! All this for $17 – which is truly great value!
Once more it could not be simpler – let me take you through it. Basically it allows you to change a page you write normally in your blog and make a squeeze page or sales page out of it with just a few clicks.
When you start a new page in your WordPress dashboard and you will have the following options.
The current version comes with over 50 pre-written headlines and over 70 bullet texts all of which are fully editable. Also, you can see the many components available. It really is very simple to use, and the end result is great.
Here is a Paper Template version of my own squeeze page that I use on the blog.
The results have been great. In just over a couple of weeks I have been getting a good number of sign ups daily and the submissions to unique display conversion rate has been at 47.3%
Once you have written your page (Remember there are loads of pre-written headlines etc for you) you can then decide how you want it to look – design wise.
The next group of features are shown below.
There are four template designs to choose from, they are all great. Personally I like the Paper Template although I will be split-testing the others soon.
Once you have chosen your design you can simply drop in your Call to Action code. You can enter here your Opt-In code, your PayPal/JVZoo button code – whatever….
Save and your page is ready to go. It’s really that simple.
And all this for $17 to use on unlimited sites – which is amazing value when you compare it to Optimize Press. Let’s just make one thing clear, this is not a slagging post for OP as I am a keen user of it but for any new marketers/bloggers starting out looking to build a very easy squeeze page or sales page in a matter of a few clicks you could do a lot worse than take a look at Paper Template.
